Privacy Policy.

Who is responsible?

TV Party is provided by Harry Chafer-Cook. This policy covers the TV Party app, its phone controllers and tv-party.com. For privacy questions or requests, contact harry@english-grammar-homework.com.

Playing TV Party

You do not need to create an account or sign in to TV Party. The current app does not send gameplay information to a developer-operated server and does not include advertising, analytics or tracking services.

The big-screen host and phones communicate over your local network. They exchange the player name you choose, a randomly generated controller identifier, controller inputs, connection information and game state such as scores, drawings and guesses. This information is used to run the game and reconnect players. Names, scores and game content can be visible to other people in your session. A nickname is enough; please do not enter sensitive personal information.

Local connections use your network addresses to communicate. Play on a trusted network. The local game connection is not intended to be exposed to the public internet.

What stays on your devices

Your phone browser can remember your player name, controller identifier, language and sound preferences in local storage. The host can keep settings and saved party progress on its device so you can resume a session. These are functional settings and local saves, not advertising identifiers.

Local settings and saves remain until they are replaced or removed. You can clear browser site data to remove phone settings, and clear the host app’s storage to remove its local settings and saves. Clearing data may remove saved progress. Device or operating-system backups are controlled by your device settings and provider.

Visiting this website

tv-party.com serves its images, videos and other content directly. We do not use advertising cookies, analytics trackers or embedded third-party video players on this site.

Our hosting provider, Hostinger, processes ordinary web requests and may keep technical access or security logs, such as IP addresses, requested pages, browser information and timestamps, to deliver and protect the website. This is separate from local gameplay. Provider log retention and processing follow its service arrangements and privacy policy. Contact us with questions or requests about website data.

If you contact us

If you email us, we receive your email address and anything you choose to send. We use that information to answer your request and handle any necessary follow-up. Our email provider processes those messages to deliver and store email. We keep correspondence only as needed for support, resolving disputes or meeting legal obligations. You can ask us to delete it, subject to those obligations.

We do not sell your personal information or use support messages for advertising. Information may be disclosed where legally required or necessary to protect legal rights.

Microsoft Store purchases and restoration

The Windows Store edition offers Dodge, Bird Sling, Spinner Arena and Maze Chase for free. Its optional full-collection upgrade is a one-time purchase covering all mini-games and all future mini-games. The Windows edition is in preparation; purchases become available when its Store listing and add-on are released. This website does not take payments.

Microsoft Store handles checkout, billing, refunds and the Microsoft account used for purchases. A Microsoft account may be required for buying or restoring the upgrade, but there is no separate TV Party account. TV Party does not receive your payment-card details, Microsoft password or billing address.

The Windows app asks Microsoft’s Store services for the upgrade’s product identifier, local price and licence status at launch, when you purchase or restore, and when Windows reports a licence change. It uses the result on the host device to unlock the games. The host shares whether the full collection is available with connected controllers over the local network. TV Party does not upload your gameplay, player names or licence results to a developer-operated server.

Microsoft may process account, purchase, device and technical information to operate the Store and verify licences, and Windows may retain licence information for offline use. Microsoft controls that processing and retention under its Privacy Statement. Windows and Microsoft Edge WebView2 runtime diagnostics and updates are also governed by Microsoft and your device settings. We may receive Store-provided sales, payout or diagnostic reports needed to operate and support the app; these are separate from TV Party gameplay tracking. We use any such reports only for those purposes and legal obligations.

Use Restore purchases in the Windows app while signed into the Microsoft Store account that bought the upgrade. Clearing TV Party’s local data does not delete your Microsoft purchase history. Manage that history and account privacy through Microsoft. Opening this policy or the Terms of Service from the app loads tv-party.com in your browser and is covered by the website section above.

Children and families

The same local-play design applies to players of all ages. TV Party does not require children to submit an account profile or contact details. A parent or guardian should supervise any purchases and help children avoid putting personal information in player names, drawings, guesses or support messages. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us so we can address it.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of personal information we hold, restrict or object to its use, and complain to your local data-protection authority. Contact Harry Chafer-Cook at harry@english-grammar-homework.com. We cannot access or delete local game data on your devices remotely.

Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, support processing is used to respond to your request or fulfil our obligations to you, while essential website delivery and security serve our legitimate interests in running a safe website. Legal obligations may also require limited processing.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page when the app or its data handling changes and revise the date above. Material changes will also be brought to your attention in the app or through the relevant release information before they take effect, where required.
